How do you possibly think you will find accomadations for 3 families this close to travel time, in Salem, on a weekend in October? it is safe to say we will absolutely never book this, or any Lark Hotel ever again, and plan to spread the word. The one star rating, is simply because you can not leave a review without checking at least one star.

The room was very nice however very overpriced in my honest opinion at $400 per night. The structure is unique and very much like a contemporary Loft with an upstairs with a seating area and a TV while downstairs is the bed and a very modern looking shower with blue tile. This is a new hotel as of the writing of this review.

This was a 3 family trip, we made arrangements in our work schedules, etc for this trip, and had to disappoint our children and cancel the trip. We received nothing in compensation for this, besides "we'll try to find you a replacement hotel".

The hotel did share any disclaimers that there would be a possibility of the hotel not being finished in time for opening. I actually didn't even know it wasn't open. Why take reservations? Wait until you are ready for business! I booked in early September and just today learned my reservations were cancelled. It is October in Salem, I'm not going to find a place in October with availability. I'm incredibly disappointed and I pray that I find other accommodations. Should the hotel take care of my airfare if I have to cancel?

Love the details the put into the interior design. Can't wait for the rooftop bar to open

I had an excellent experience at this hotel. I had never been to Salem and was traveling alone in the dark so finding my way to a parking garage was a little challenging but hotel staff was so helpful. They guided me over the phone to the Museum Parking Garage which is a great place to park - just a short walk to the hotel and it was $18 for an overnight stay. The front desk gal was so sweet. She went out of her way to research good hair salons in the area and restaurant directions. The hotel could not be in a better location, right in the hub of things. Once you park, you won't need your car again to have a good time. I love the coffee and water stations located on each floor and the coffee was there early- yes, yes, yes. They said 7am but it was there at 6 (maybe don't count on that though). And, the best thing is that Hotel Salem doesn't look or smell like a hotel- its modern, simply designed, no fuss and clutter, and clean. Love it!, I'll definitely go there again.

The Hotel took our, and 2 other families reservations for Oct 12-14. A little over 2 weeks, we were notified the hotel wouldn't be open in time for the weekend. We were told that they would try to place us at another hotel for these dates, but they were not able.
