The house and the staff were amazing. Being in Salem, during October, at the Daniels house is a true treasure.
I was wondering if Kay Gill, who had subsequently become a cherished "pen pal", was still there. To my delight, I found

We stayed here for a short family vacation to visit Salem. I'm not really "into" antiques, but this B&B was chocked full of very interesting (and some odd!) items that I found intriguing. My favorite part of the house was the original kitchen. Lots to look at. The house is old (+300 years!) but clean. Some superficial repairs would improve eye appeal in a couple rooms. The house was walking distance to everything we wanted to do (a little far to Salem Willows). We had coffee/tea, fresh fruit and warm homemade muffins each morning before we headed out for the day. The B&B also had free Wi-Fi, which was better in some rooms than in others. Oh- and we were surprised with plates of home baked cookies waiting in our rooms upon our return during the day. Robin, Wendy and Chrissy were awesome! I would come back in a heartbeat. A great stay at a great value.
Visited Daniels House twice...long ago. I am now 90, but that was one of the most memorable experiences of my long life!
The suites are beautiful, extra large rooms and you get two rooms for the price of one!!! They just come that way, Antiques everywhere you look, it's like being in a museum, but you can sleep there!!! Breakfast is light just perfect to start your day, the homemade muffins are to die for!!! The cat Sabrina is the perfect hostess, greeting you when you arrive, and her nightly visits, to make sure your all tucked in for the evening.
The Daniels House is a unique and memorable B&B, it definitely was the highlight of my Salem experience!!!!!
Wonderful fully appointed historic house .... totally authentic, very comfortable as well. It is in the heart of Salem's historic district. When you open the door, you step back in time! The breakfast table is set with antique china and the fresh fruit and home baked muffins are as wonderful as the staff themselves. Do take the tour of the house. Thank you to Robin, Wendy & Maria for making our visit so memorable.
