This school is a joke. First the people at the offices are rude. Secondly, the international office, CIE it’s horrible at informing international students. Whoever works there, it’s not that they don’t know how to do their job, they just don’t care about you. They do not tell you useful information. They do not take time to explain how every process goes. I had to figure out everything myself. I graduated from Salem State, and I’m glad, I am sooooo glad I’m over. Make sure when your OPT arrives everything is correct, after the OPT you will receive a plastic card, employment authorization. REMEMBER at the office they will not tell you that you have to report at USCIS after you find a job. Oh and most importantly they will not tell you, that after receiving the Authorization card, you have to apply at Social Security office for your SSN.
COMMUTER PARKING TICKET $125 - I AM SHOCKED HOW MUCH THESE STATE SCHOOL EXPLOIT THEIR STUDENTS.

Was a guest lecturer and was made to feel at home by most of the staff and faculty. However, their campus police were a major disappointment and very much a power trip on their part.
I attend Salem state university as an undergraduate. Very good atmosphere and a clean campus. Lots of people here to help you find what you need.
