I received a CWOF and must complete a batterers program, as well as complete community service. Some may think that a CWOF is easy to obtain, but in most DV cases, it is not. After I received the disposition and began taking the classes, I heard horror stories of men who have served upwards of 6 months in jail because of a DV charge. There are some men who are batterers of women, however in some cases there is mutual combat. My case was the latter. I took responsibility for my actions and I know the negative impact, but I was not the only aggressor in the incident. He helped the judge to see that, and also to see that I was serious about taking responsibility for my actions and getting rehabilitated. Jail was not the best use of my time, nor was it going to rehabilitate me. I am on probation for a couple of years but it is a lot better than taking me away from my community and work. I could not have asked for a better attorney. I will continue to have Attorney Yannetti represent me in the future, should I need it.

After that he started focusing to get a pre-trial probation, best possible outcome for me. He went on to work and worked hard. He kept me well informed and was very responsive to my questions. Finally DA's office was ready to give me a pre trial probation (Batterer program for a year) but that was not possible for me since i had to leave for my country (India) due to Visa issues and i was amazed the way he dealt with this situation. He got DA's point overruled by the judge and i got domestic violence online course in probation which i could complete in time before leaving from USA and case will be dismissed without a trial. I must say...i am a witness of a magic. He was thorough, mindful, and thoughtful throughout the entire process.
