Not one bit impressed with their customer service. After emailing Murphy's my grandmother's obituary, we never received a response. Wasn't even sure if they had got the email or not. We had to call them to find out they had already published it, in yesterday's papers! Not only were we denied the chance to confirm the charges we were billed for (one of the papers was close to $1000, you would think someone would ask if that was okay first), but we weren't able to purchase the paper since we weren't told when it would be published! The whole point of using a funeral home to publish an obituary is to make a difficult time easier on the family, but Murphy's has done the opposite by causing my grieving mother and grandfather more headaches.
If you are reading this review it is because you have lost someone you love. I'm sorry for your loss. The good people at Murphy Funeral Home are ready to help you as they did our family. Our family lost both of our elderly parents this year. Both times we turned to Murphy Funeral Home for assistance. They were very helpful in every aspect of the planning and preparation of final arrangements. What we appreciated most was that we always knew that our wishes, and those of our parents, we're being accommodated. We did not have any unusual requirements or requests but every time that we asked for something we were told "yes, if that's what you want then that's what we will do." We had a lot of questions and found they were always available to help us in person, by phone, or by email. That was important to us because it helped us keep distant family members informed. They assisted us through every step of the process in a very professional yet caring way. Through out the process we knew what services they would be providing and the complete costs. We did not feel rushed or under any pressure. Every person we met with treated us kindly, with compassion and respect.
Just want to write about my great experience with Murphy Funeral Home, My father in law passed away in June, from start to finish Bob at the funeral home walk us through every step. They all did a great job at helping me and my wife with all the arrangements. They kept in contact with us every step of the way. Thank you very much to all the staff at Murphy Funeral Home, it made a hard time so much easier and less stressful.
Despite how very hard it was to lose my father, Bob made the experience go as easy as dealing with a death could possibly go. He was genuinely kind, caring, and sympathetic towards me and my loss. I can't express enough how great he is at his job. Couldn't have had a better person to help me throughout it all. I thank you Bob so much for everything. I greatly appreciate everything you did for me and my father. I would recommend anyone, dealing with a loss is hard enough and this is the place anyone should go to feel you have someone on your side and has you and your family's best interest at heart. For anyone that goes please ask for Bob.

When my father passed away last year, Murphys walked me through the process and handled every detail with care. Brenden, Bob and Frank were professional and responsive and essentially made a very difficult time easier to navigate, allowing me to grieve and focus on family without worrying about the administrative side of loss.
